Privacy policy
How we handle personal information collected through our website forms, conversations and marketing activities, and the choices available to you.
Last updated: November 1, 2026
Scope and responsibility
OnTarget Group Inc. (‘OnTarget’, ‘we’, ‘us’) is responsible for personal information collected through this website and related marketing activities. This policy covers inquiry and contact forms, guided discovery information you submit to us, chat conversations, event and resource registrations, and marketing communications that refer to this policy. Personal information is information about an identifiable individual. Client project data handled under a separate service agreement is governed by that agreement and applicable privacy requirements.
Information we collect
Depending on your interaction, we collect your name, work email, organization, optional phone number, service interests, project description, messages and other information you choose to provide. We may retain correspondence, marketing preferences, consent and unsubscribe records, and campaign or referral information. Provide only what is needed for your request; do not submit passwords, payment details, sensitive personal information or confidential information about others.
Our website and providers may also process IP addresses, browser and device details, pages visited, referring pages, timestamps, and cookie or session identifiers. The project inquiry form sends your entries, page URL and title, browser information and a session identifier to our contact-management provider. Chat providers may process messages and related technical information.
How we use information
We use information to respond to requests, assess business needs, arrange meetings or demonstrations, provide requested resources, manage registrations and business relationships, and follow up on conversations. We also use it to operate and protect the website, troubleshoot problems, understand interest in our services, evaluate marketing activities, maintain consent and preference records, and meet legal obligations. We identify the purposes of collection and obtain additional consent for a new purpose where required.
Consent and marketing choices
Submitting an inquiry allows us to use your information to handle the request and related follow-up; it is not blanket consent to unrelated marketing. We send promotional email or other commercial electronic messages only with consent or another permission recognized by applicable law. Where we request express marketing consent, that choice is optional and separate from a service inquiry.
Unsubscribe using the mechanism in a marketing message or contact us below. We honour requests within the legal time limit, including no later than 10 business days for messages subject to Canada’s anti-spam legislation. Withdrawing marketing consent does not prevent responses to your requests or necessary non-promotional service communications. We may retain a minimal suppression record to respect your choice.
Cookies, chat and third-party tools
Cookies and similar technologies may support sessions, website functionality, chat and measurement of website or campaign activity. This site includes a LeadConnector chat widget, uses LeadConnector to receive project inquiries, and loads fonts from Google Fonts. These providers receive information needed to provide their services, including technical information when resources load.
You can restrict or delete cookies through your browser, which may affect some features. Where consent is required for optional tracking, those technologies must only be used after consent is obtained. This policy does not itself provide consent to optional tracking. Linked third-party websites have their own privacy practices.
Sharing and service providers
Access is limited to people who need information for the purposes described here. We use providers for hosting, contact and customer relationship management, chat, communications and technical support. They may process information on our behalf for those services, subject to appropriate confidentiality and protection requirements. We do not sell personal information or give contact lists to others for their independent marketing.
We may disclose information when required or permitted by law, to protect rights and security, or in connection with a business transfer subject to appropriate protections. If your request requires a separate business partner, we explain the purpose and obtain consent where required.
Processing outside Québec or Canada
We and our providers may store or process information outside your province or country, including outside Québec or Canada. Information processed elsewhere may be subject to local laws and lawful access by public authorities. We remain responsible for information processed on our behalf and apply assessments and contractual safeguards required by applicable law. Contact us about the providers and locations relevant to your information.
Retention and protection
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for its identified purposes, considering the inquiry or relationship, consent records, legal requirements and the establishment or defence of legal claims. We then securely delete it or anonymize it where permitted by law. Periods vary by record type; you can ask about the period applicable to your information.
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of information, including access restrictions and safeguards for providers. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. We address privacy incidents and notify affected people and authorities when required by law.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law and limited exceptions, you may request access to your personal information, correction of inaccurate or incomplete information, deletion where available, or withdrawal of consent. You may ask how information is used or shared and, where applicable, request computerized information you supplied in a structured, commonly used format. Some records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations. We explain relevant consequences or limits when responding.
Children and changes to this policy
This website is intended for business audiences and is not directed to children. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information. We may update this policy as practices or requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. We provide additional notice or request consent for material changes where required.
